WS-I - Next Steps
3:00 p.m.

The publication of the Final WS-I Basic Profile 1.0 this past summer has generated a significant amount of interest in the Web services community. Customers are asking about WS-I conformance in the products they seek to purchase, and most of the major Web services vendors have, or are in the process of updating their product portfolio to support the Basic Profile 1.0. Since that time, the WS-I Basic Profile WG has been actively working on a follow-on profile to address the common requirement of carrying attachments with SOAP messages.

In this session, Chris Ferris will discuss the recently published set of follow-on profiles, their significance and relationship to one another and the current plans for their completion. In addition, he will provide an update on the progress of the other working groups including the Requirements Gathering, Basic Security Profile, Testing Tools and Sample Applications Working Groups.
