"ID, Please!" - The Case for Giving Web Services an Identity
1:00 p.m.

Without identity management, Web services can be consumed by anyone.

The challenge for Web services developers is to provide appropriate access based on the user's identity. As identity management moves into the forefront of technology, directory services will evolve from simple LDAP repositories used for authentication and storage to robust engines that provide identity integration, access management and policy enforcement.

This presentation will discuss how identity management and directory services provide a robust solution for Web services authentication, authorization and single sign-on.
